Patricia is a New York City-based Social Worker and psychotherapist who has been training people in Gestalt Group Therapy since 1990 in a variety of settings. Patricia currently leads three ongoing Gestalt Therapy groups in her private practice.

 

Patricia is the founder and director of The Group Project.  She is a faculty-member and former Director of Training at Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy, an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU’s Silver School of Social Work, and a frequent guest lecturer at Columbia University’s School of Social Work and the City College of New York’s graduate Mental Health Counseling Program. Patricia is a frequent presenter at national and international Gestalt Therapy conferences. She has just completed term as President of The Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy (www.aagt.org).

 

Patricia is thrilled to be bringing her knowledge of Gestalt Therapy to this group therapy training program!  Patricia is committed to creating a climate that enhances social justice in every area of her life.  The Group Project strives to remain aware of and attending to issues of privilege, power, and oppression as they arise within the group and in relation to the community and the larger social systems within which we live.
