Gestalt Group Therapy:  Authentic communication in action.

About The Group Project:

The Group Project trains practitioners in the theory and practice of Gestalt Group Therapy.

As a Group Project participant, you will receive help in starting up your new group and/or supervision on your ongoing groups.  Our first meeting will include hands-on assistance for those in the planning stages for a new group that will enable you to have your group up and running by the time of our second meeting.  Those who already have ongoing groups will be able to discuss your group with other participants and The Group Project leader to continue to develop and refine the group process.

You will learn the basic elements of field theory, presence and inclusion in dialogue, interactional dynamics in complex systems and elements of authentic communication,as well as many other aspects of group therapy management, as you apply these elements in practice.
Upon completion of The Group Project program, you will have gained the experience and expertise to skillfully lead a Gestalt therapy group.  You will be able to help group members deepen their communication with one another, identify interruptions to contacting, and take the risks to try out new interpersonal behaviors as they challenge their resources to stretch and grow.
